Lisa Sturdivant, MA, LPC Intern & LMFT Intern

Lisa Sturdivant holds a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from George Fox University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marylhurst University. She has worked both in residential treatment programs and outpatient counseling services. In her professional therapeutic work Lisa gravitates towards a systemic, person-centered approach, working collaboratively with individuals, couples and families. She appreciates that we are each unique in our own perspectives and desired goals; therefore, she utilizes various theories and applications that are specific to each client. Lisa has training in: CBT, EMDR, Restoration
Therapy, trauma informed approaches, sand tray, Play and Filial therapy, and art-based therapeutic techniques that can be integrated into working with a variety of issues such as:
trauma, emotion regulation, boundaries, communication, relationship difficulties, depression, and anxiety.
