Rachel Sheldon, MA, Professional Counselor Associate
Rachel Sheldon (she/her) is an LPC Associate being supervised by Dr. Tami Hoogestraat. Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Multnomah University. Rachel incorporates a systemic and person-centered approach, working collaboratively with her clients. Rachel comes alongside her clients to hold a space that is warm, affirming, and authentic; to support clients as they face the concerns and challenges that arise in life. She views people as dynamic, considering their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs. Rachel has experience working with adolescents and adults, providing individual therapy to address concerns including PTSD, depression, anxiety, attachment wounds, and grief. As a transracial adoptee herself, Rachel is passionate about supporting individuals and families through the layered process that adoption can bring. Rachel has additional training in EMDR, Lifespan Integration, and EFT.
